We may not be good writers, but in your own little ways, you can help promote a mutual benefit within the online community by providing a link to this site should you copy and paste the contents of this blog; or have the dignity to rewrite the ideas of the articles that you like posted within this blog site. If you opt to do neither, your page won't be indexed by search engines for reasons of duplicity. Much appreciation if you do. God bless!

November 17, 2010

Amazon.com is opening doors to every aspiring writers, producers and directors through its new Amazon Studios.

The internet movie studio lets you upload scripts to its website for the whole world to see. A worldwide exposure is what it means; the chance to be recognized as internet users get to view your works and review them at the same time.

In this way, you will know which part you need the improvement. Nothing beats receiving feedback directly from the audience.

Another benefit that you can get out from this setup is the amazing prizes that await the participant. Amazon promises to give away $100,000 for best movie and $20,000 for the best two scripts. Annually, they will also reward the best submission for the test movie a staggering $1,000,000 and $100,000 for the scriptwriter.

You can also participate by revising scripts or test movies that have already been uploaded in the system. If you get selected by the panel of judges that include screenwriter and chair of the writing division of the USC school of Cinematic Arts,  Jack Epps Jr. who wrote “Top Gun” and Mark Gill, erstwhile Miramax and Warner Independent Pictures president, you only get around 50 percent of the prize depending upon how substantial your contribution had been.
